Terms of Service

These terms cover the pool and spa barrier inspection services provided by Poolside Fence Inspections across regional Victoria. By booking an inspection with us, you agree to these terms.

Our service

We carry out onsite inspections of pool and spa safety barriers against the standard that applies in Victoria at the date of your inspection. If your barrier passes, we issue your Form 23 compliance certificate within 48 hours and can lodge it with your local council. If it does not pass, you receive a clear list of what needs attention.

Bookings and payment

Inspections start from $270, re-inspections from $100, and consultations from $200. Prices can vary with location and job size, and we confirm the fee before we attend. Payment is due on completion unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Access and information

You agree to provide safe access to the pool or spa area and to give us accurate information about the property. If we cannot safely access the barrier, or the information provided is incorrect, we may be unable to complete the inspection and a call-out or re-attendance fee may apply.

What an inspection means

An inspection is a point in time assessment of your barrier against the rules in force on the day we attend. Passing an inspection is not a guarantee of ongoing compliance. It is your responsibility to keep your barrier compliant and well maintained afterwards, including after any change to the pool, fence, surrounds, or the rules themselves.

Re-inspections

If your barrier does not pass, you can complete the required work and book a re-inspection. Where it is compliant at re-inspection, your certificate is issued promptly.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us as much notice as you can. We may charge a fee for cancellations made at short notice, or for missed appointments where we have already travelled to site.

Liability

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, and nothing in these terms limits those rights. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any other claim is limited to re-performing the service or refunding the fee you paid for it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
