Meet your inspector

Meet Leanne

A licensed, local pool safety inspector with one simple mission: help regional families enjoy their pool safely, without the stress or the uncertainty.

Our mission

An efficient, solutions-focused service that helps regional families enjoy their pool safely, without stress or uncertainty.

Leanne Burnett, qualified pool barrier inspector

Our story

“I became an inspector to keep other families' kids safe.

I'm a mum of four, and pool safety is personal to me. When we renovated our own family pool, I went down the rabbit hole of Victoria's barrier rules and realised how confusing they are for most people. Getting licensed as a pool barrier inspector gave me the confidence and the expertise to know my own child was safe around the water, and it made me want other families to feel as certain about it as I did.

I grew up in regional Victoria, so these are my communities. I worked closely with Deb, who founded Poolside Fence Inspections, before taking the business over from her in 2025. Today I inspect pools right across the region, from Bacchus Marsh to Echuca, Ballarat, Bendigo and Geelong.

What won't change is how I work: warm, straight-talking, and focused on solving whatever is in front of us. I answer every call myself, I explain everything in plain English, and I go out of my way to make this simple for every family I work with.

Why we do it

Country kids deserve the same protection

Drowning is not an even risk across the state. Rates across regional and remote Australia run consistently higher than in the major cities, and having grown up in regional Victoria, that sits close to home for me.

A compliant barrier is the single most effective thing standing between a small child and the water. So this was never really about paperwork. It is about every family we visit being able to relax around their pool, knowing the fence and the gate will do their job on the day it matters.

That is why we are a friendly, uplifting partner in this rather than an inspector who turns up, fails you, and leaves you with a list.

The Poolside Promise

Built to pass first time

No jargon, no games, no surprise re-inspection fees. We guide and educate before we ever turn up, so anything that needs fixing gets found early. That means fewer repeat inspections, and far more pools passing on the very first visit.

  1. Your checklist first

We send a simple pre-inspection checklist so you know exactly what to fix before we arrive.

  2. We review your photos

Send a few photos and we'll flag anything that needs sorting, before the visit.

  3. Pass & certificate

Most pools pass first go. Form 23 issued within 48 hours.

The result: one visit, one fee, one certificate.
