THE PROCESS

STEP ONE

Registration

Ensure your pool/spa is registered with your relevant Council. You will need to know when your pool barrier was constructed.

Your Council will provide you with a registration letter, including the standard your pool barrier must adhere to and the date your next certificate is due.

STEP TWO

Self Checklist

As part of our full-service we will provide you with a tailored self-checklist, highlighting any areas of concern, (via photos supplied of your area). Please check your self-checklist and make any adjustments necessary to bring your pool barrier to comply with the relevant standard.

STEP THREE

Book your inspection

Book your BPC accredited pool inspector through Poolside Fence Inspections to audit & issue a compliance certificate if the barrier meets the standard.

If your pool does not comply you will have up to 60 days to bring it to compliance.

STEP FOUR

Lodge your Certificate

If your barrier is deemed compliant the Form 23 Certificate of Pool and Spa Barrier Compliance Certificate will be provided to you within 48 hours of the inspection. You (the property owner) will need to lodge this with your relevant council.

STEP FIVE

See you in 4 years!

We will personally send a reminder notification 8 weeks prior to the date of when your next certificate is due (via email & text message)

We hope to see you again in 4 years time!

First Inspection

A comprehensive onsite pool barrier inspection to relevant Australian Standard or Building Regulations.

If the pool barrier or fence is compliant, a detailed inspection report and Form 23 will be issued within 48 hours.

If the pool barrier or fence is non-complaint at first inspection, a detailed report will be issued within 48 hours, complete with photos and recommendations for rectification.

Inspections + written pre-inspection from from $300 (plus GST)

Travel fees may be added depending on location.

Follow Up Inspection

Follow-up (if required) pool barrier inspection to review rectification works and ensure that the barrier meets Australian Standards or Building Regulations.

If no further works are required, the final report and Form 23 will be issued with 48 hours.

Re-inspection from $100 (plus GST)

Travel fees may be added depending on location.
